Williams Sound Releases Loop Hearing Assistance for T-Coil Hearing Aids
Induction loop technology has been around for a while but has seen a recent resurgence, Williams Sound saw the demand and has released a full line of induction loop hearing assistance products. If you are unfamiliar with induction loop technology it sends a magnetic signal directly to a user wearing a T-coil equipped hearing aid. The user gets a strong and clear signal directly to their ears and the best part is they don’t have to use an external receiver. Williams Sound has three models: the
Hearing Hotspot, the
Hotspot Counter, and the
PROLOOP DCC Plus.
The Williams Sound
Hearing Hotspot is ideal for home use, a small conference room, or any room up to 540 square feet that needs hearing assistance. The
PLA-215 system includes 120 feet of induction loop wire
that will send the magnetic signal audio directly to a T-coil equipped hearing aid. The PLA-215 features automatic gain control to equalize the volume for ever changing input levels.
The Williams Sound Hotspot Counter has a range of three to four feet and is ideal for information desks, bank teller windows, ticket counters, or at checkout at a grocery store. The PLA 90 has an internal microphone to pick up the audio source and will automatically send the magnetic signal to anyone wearing a T-coil equipped hearing aid. Use the PLA 90 with the included power supply or use virtually anywhere with the included rechargeable batteries that last up to six hours. Providing hearing assistance anywhere is what makes the PLA 90 so valuable.
The Williams Sound PROLOOP DCC Plus was designed specifically for large venues up to 6,500 square feet in size. The PLA-DCCP is rack mountable and features a 100-V priority input that connects to a PA system, the amplifier also features automatic gain control to consistently supply an even magnetic signal to a T-coil equipped hearing aid. The PLA-DCCP amplifier features a robust output amplification up to 10 A RMS to provide superior audio transmission. Provide your technicians the correct tool to measure magnetic field strength in a room, the Williams Sound PLM-FSMP measures and validates field strength to ensure that you are providing the correct strength to users.
Williams Sound has not left out those that don’t wear hearing aids, even in an induction loop system the Williams Sound PLR SR1 PROOLOOP induction loop receiver can provide clear and strong hearing assistance. The receiver is placed in the ears and worn under the chin and will pick up the magnetic signal sending the clear audio directly to the ears. The unit swivels in the ears making walking around and bending over a non issue, the silicon eartips are comfortable and easy to clean and sanitize. The PLR SR1 features a volume control and a 60Hz noise filter switch. The receiver is rechargeable with a run time of up to 6 hours and must be charged in the Williams Sound CHG 518 5 bay drop in charger.
